"Breaking-In" Bandsaw Blade from LENOX TOOLS"Breaking-In" Bandsaw Blade from LENOX TOOLS
What is Blade Break-In? A new bandsaw blade has razor sharp tooth tips as a result of the forming of the teeth. In order to withstand the cutting pressures used in bandsawing, the tooth tip should be honed to form a micro-fine radius. Cutting with high pressure without performing this honing will cause microscopic damage to the tips of the teeth, resulting in loss of blade life. Click on logo to get this download.

New Thread Gauge System acc. ISO 7/DIN EN 10226New Thread Gauge System acc. ISO 7/DIN EN 10226
The essential difference in relation to the standards commonly used in Europe for the Whitworth pipe threads for pressure-tight joints is the shifting of the gauge plane by 0.5 x P. This means that the effects of the chamfer (countersinking) on the internal thread are taken into account.
This revision had already been implemented in ISO 7-1:1994, but in effect it could not be put into realisation due to the lacking gauge standard. With the Euro Standards DIN EN 10226-1 and DIN EN 10226-2, the adoption of ISO 7-1:1994 will be strongly supported in Europe.

Threading tapered cast holes from EMUGE-FRANKENThreading tapered cast holes from EMUGE-FRANKEN
Tool concepts for reducing the number of machining jobs, with components of cast aluminium, cast iron or similar materials, threads must often be produced in tapered holes left by the casting process in which the blanks for such parts are usually made. In order to cut down on production costs, the common aim in such cases is to avoid reboring the hole before thread production in a separate work process, and to produce the thread in one single work process instead.
